Beginners Self Defence Course - Martial Arts Jujitsu Enfield

Coming to a regular class for the first time can be intimidating, especially if you have no martial arts experience. The beginner self defence program is especially designed to give you a 'taster' of what Martial Arts is all about.  It will equip you mentally and physically so that you can go on to a regular class with confidence. You will be training with other new students who will be at a similar level to you.

What do I wear?

Loose clothing such as jogging bottoms, shorts and a tee shirt

If I have never done martial arts before, am I going to be out of my depth?

No, that's what the beginner program is all about, you will be training with people at a similar level.

Do I have to be fit to train?

No, you won’t be pushed to much too quickly, but after the four week course you will definitely see an improvement in your fitness.

Will I have to pay membership/ license fees?

No, not while you are enrolled on the beginner self defence course.  Once you have completed the course and decided to continue with your training then you have to pay a license fee which covers your insurance for training.

What will the course entail?

  • Warm up and cool down exercises
  • Conditioning exercises
  • Basic pad work
  • Learn to fall without hurting yourself
  • Learn to block and strike
  • Learn self defence techniques
  • You will learn your first throw and how to be thrown
  • Learn basic defence against weapons
